Okay, in this post, I will share how to solve the problem on the same printer with different error code, in this case, error code E05.
You can get the error code information from the display near the power button. The display will blink and show the letter and number alternately. That information is necessary to decide the action we have to do. As mentioned above, the error code today is E05. This problem can be occured if one or both the printer cartridge damaged.
To solve this problem, of course you have to replace the ink cartridge of your Canon MP258. In my country, the price of the black cartridge is about USD 15 while the color ink cartridge is about USD 20. Of course it will be different in each country.
How to replace the cartridge? It is very simple, you just have to lift teh cover, wait until the cartridge move to center position. Open the cartridge cover and remove the damaged cartridge, instal the new cartridge. For further explanation, you can see the pictures below:
